Who We Are

Who We Are

Lawrence Memorial Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union was founded in 1959 as a federally regulated co-operative credit union. Therefore, we operate exclusively for the benefit of our members who have access to a full range of financial services.

Unlike banks, we are a not-for-profit institution, and do not have stockholders. Our members own the credit union; participate in the election of our volunteer board of directors, and share in the many, very real benefits derived from this distinction.

This distinction, unique to credit unions, means:

  • BETTER RATES - Because we are a not-for-profit organization, we can offer higher returns on your deposits and lower-cost loans.
  • LOWER FEES – In contrast to other financial institutions we have fewer fees and lower fees.
  • BETTER SERVICE - Our service is unmatched because our entire staff is available to serve you. We are accessible, and convenient.

Members' deposits are insured to at least $250,000 by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.
